In the speech that Gordon Brown has been quoted as having delivered to the City of London gathering in the last 24 hours, he is stated to have said the following:-

‘And because I recognise the benefits Crossrail would bring to the City, we are using every effort to find a solution to its affordability. I will ensure this work is stepped up but as you know the only financing solution that will work will require all parties - public and private - contributing significantly.’

This is the part of the speech that encapsulates what Brown is being prepared to do – to bring in the City of London interests a step closer to dictating what happen to the UK economic. And with it, closer also to where the UK state wants society to go in terms of freedom, liberty and human rights.

Because the statement is very much packaged one that has been created to respond to the lobby of the Government that Big Business has increased in the past few months.

The part of Brown’s speech where he says‘And because I recognise the benefits Crossrail would bring to the City....’ is telling.

What evidence ahs Brown to say that he recognises the benefits that CrossRail will bring?

Has he seen any railway system the like of CrossRail [as planned] in action?
If he has done, where is that system running?

If he ahs seen the operation of a specialty or a part of a society, affected by the Crossrail hole? If he has, where is such a society or a part of a society? In what continent?
